2009 Annual Pool & Darts Competition

Kemnay Youth held their annual pool & darts competition at the Burnett Arms in Kemnay on Sunday 27th December 2009.

Unfortunately there continues to be a ban on photos at this event following various shenanigans being caught on camera at the 2005 event.

Without Cheyner being in charge of the draw it took a while for Muirhead and co to sort themselves (and the format) out. Eventually (and like every other year) competitors were put into the draw and picked out for pairings with the match draw for both pool and darts then being made.

A number of hours later...and after drinking the Burnett dry of most alcoholic beverages...

RESULTS:

POOL - Mark Ingram and Simon (a relation of John Muirhead's) overcame Gary Anderson and Darren Ross following a keenly contested final. It was Mark's second win in a row and third since 2005 with Simon obtaining his first victory.

DARTS - Roy Stuart and Phil Adam defeated Bryan Innes and substitute Colin Lyon who replaced Keith Stuart who had a prior engagement to keep. It was a first victory in the competition for both Roy and Phil with last years winners Gavin Petrie and Ron Barnell not being in attendance to defend their crown.

Thanks to all who attended and also thanks to the Burnett Arms for hosting the event and putting on food to help soak up the alcohol consumed!
