Name: Jim Hill ++ Age: 53 ++ Place of Birth: Aberdeen (to be near my Mum). ++ Height: 5 ft 9 inches. ++ Weight: 12 stone. ++ Favourite Team: Aberdeen. ++ Favourite Position: Missionary. ++ Greatest Footballing Moment as a Player: North of Scotland Cup Final, but didn’t get off the subs bench. ++ Greatest Footballing Moment as a Fan: Watching the Dons win the Cup Winners Cup in Gothenburg. ++ Best Sambo Moment: Just watching him running the line and hearing his excuses when he poxes up. ++ Funniest Moment at Kemnay Youth: Former Youth manager Billy Gray trying to revice KO’d Malcolm McKenzie by slapping his face to bring him round then pulling him up by his arm. He was sent to hospital to find out he had a broken jaw and a broken arm!! ++ Debut for Kemnay Youth: Youth’s second ever season, can’t remember the opposition (it was a long long time ago!). ++ Previous Clubs: Now defunct Wiggins Teape Amateurs, Castle Rovers, Maryculter and Kemnay Amateurs (I’ve wiped out a few teams!). ++ Comments: When asked if I was any good as a player my reply was that I was better than a man short, unlike some of my present squad!
Jim Hill
Colin is...erm...what is he exactly? Better known as Sambo, he was found as a little boy at Castle Fraser(!) near Kemnay and has never looked back since. Can either be found on a Saturday afternoon with a linesmans flag shouting abuse at whoever can understand what he is saying or most other days on the Kemnay bowling green playing with his balls!
Colin Lyon
Ron is the club secretary and well, what can you say about Ron? He emerges now and again from the North Sea to make sure John Muirhead (Club Captain) is taking good care of his daughter. He is an avid Sunderland fan, hailing from that neck of the woods for his sins.
Ron Bannell
John is the skip (club captain). There is so much I could put in here, so instead, I am waiting for suggestions from the other players/officials before adding anything. No doubt John will have his own comment to make as well! Watch this space...
