Rothie are opening their bar in the changing rooms and laying on sandwiches, so if we get beat lets eat all their food and drink their booze, that'll teach em!!

It's in the paper tonight, away in the league, that's what we have to go by.

Yeah if we just get the work rate back up and start beliving in ourselves we will see a difference. A bit of bondage could do the trick, we'll get it started in the changing rooms tonight. Cant wait!
Reply 184 grant5 on Sun, Aug 15, 2010 16:34:58 PM
lets get 6 pts from the next 2 games lads, if all of us pull in the same direction we'll be ok, dunno whats wrong with the team spirit just now but it seems we may need a bondage, sorry bonding session......

Thanks for the info Johnny, but I'm with Roy, if the ball comes into the box, near you, just head/kick it clear, it's fairly simple!
Reply 178 Roy_Stuart on Wed, Aug 11, 2010 22:11:27 PM
Surely you just defend the box and attack the ball rather than trying to track some crazy runs!! It never really worked for Aberdeen under old Ebbe!
Reply 177 john_shields on Wed, Aug 11, 2010 17:25:27 PM
dont know if you have played westhill before but if you havnt be ready for thier set pieces, dont know if they still do it but they all stand on the edge of the box in a line & all run in at the same time all over the place so you really need to pick a man & stick with him.

Reply 158 John_Muirhead on Thu, Mar 25, 2010 16:29:54 PM
Stick in on Saturday lads, I've been told a few are injured/missing, so it'll be difficult. As I'm away myself, I've left it in Shuggie's capable hands. Make sure everyone mucks in with the goals, tidying, etc, don't leave everything to him, Cheyner and Colin.
All the best, John.

Decent performance today boys, with a few of the 'regulars' missing. Great effort from the boys who've come in, and also from the ones playing out of position. Especially well done to young Scotty, good goal, and a good shift, and to Moss, who hasn't featured as much as he should have. Great result, shoved us up the league a good bit, well done to everyone! As always, let's keep it going next week.

I know it's only a few places, but today's win pushed us up the league a bit, looks healthier now. In my mind, not the greatest performance, but a good result. Panda's done well in goal, after waiting a while and a clean sheet from him and the defence, that's what wins games! Well done to everyone, keep it going for next week.

Reply 132 John_Muirhead on Sun, Oct 25, 2009 0:34:40 AM
Decent effort today lads, take out the poor defending at the goals and I thought we were worth something today. There was only one team wanting to pass the ball, but there was no end product, we wont win games if we don't score, we won't score if someone doesn't take a shot! Horrendous conditions to contend with, not the best day for football, but everyone stuck at it. Selection problems for next week, with Brian, Rossco and Mole, and maybe Nicky back, chuck young Davie into the mix, who's due a shot (great attitude), but there's a certain fat old defender who might drop out! Anyway, keep your heads up, see you Monday at training.

Lets make sure we get a good victory tomorrow. They can't possibly be as bad as last week and I have it on good authority that they will have at least 4 players back who were at Creamfields who are first team picks. Don't take them too lightly just coz we humped them last week but don't be scared either, we played some good football last week, lets do it again and get through to the next round
Reply 124 Mikey on Mon, Aug 31, 2009 13:37:13 PM
I thought the decision to bring on a certain 'vetran' defender in the centre of midfield was scandalous!
Anything for a game, even abusing powere to bring himself on. Bad times
Reply 123 John_Muirhead on Sun, Aug 30, 2009 1:38:31 AM
Good result today boys, might've been nice to get three points, but a win in the cup's always good too. Great performance from Dan, on the left, hat-trick from midfield, superb. Again, Bruce did a good job wide right, with Gav and Andy shoring up the middle, pretty good midfield performance considering some of the 'big guns' were missing. It shows what the squad's all about, giving me some good headaches for next week. Well done to everyone.

Well boys, we made hard work of it, but the 3 points was really welcome. Got to say a special well done to Bruce Campbell, great performance on the right, winning goal, and an assist for the other, superb! If everyone who breaks into the team has the same impact, we'll do fine, it'll also help the 'established' players stay on their toes. Just keep working, and enjoying your football, that's all that matters. See you Tuesday, 6.30 at the academy.

Although we got beat today, there were positives to come from the game. We had out a young team against some decent experienced amateur players who know the score. They were 'cuter' than us in most ways, but it was only one long throw and header that was the difference. Everyone just keep the heads up, I'm sure with our squad, it'll come good. Thanks for all the hard work today, roll on Monday for the local derby versus the Musk.

According to the AFA website Huntly are relegated instead of Continental even though Huntly have a better goal difference and head-to-head. Does relegation come down to goals scored if level on points? Seems a bit harsh on Huntly to me!

Get tae f*** Muirhead. You've no played in ages and after a very good end of season run you lose the last match, whoopy do! Surely first season back up a division is all about survival and a mid-table-ish finish is a decent performance in my book no matter what anyone says. All about building on this for next season now. You should be pleased that the Gers have also managed to keep the league title going by winning today!! Shuggy is a legend.

A bitter sweet ending to the season gents....certainly we did not perform today and this along with lack of matches in three weeks meant we were a bit off the pace. Match official.....??? The positives from the game... the comeback from 2-0 down good goals from Phil...and towards the end we could have snatched an equaliser with good efforts from Jay and Scotty. Heids up lads our recent victories have stood us well in surviving. All the best to Slav Gav and Mrs Gav hope everything goes well at the birth...lets look forward to the blow out on the 23rd !

Reply 90 Roy_Stuart on Thu, Apr 30, 2009 12:28:07 PM
Looks like the Youth could be safe without kicking a ball if other results go the right way in the coming week! Already Feughside and Continental cannot catch up so just need one more to drop points and its another season in the Division! This is even more likely as all the teams below with games in hand are playing one another! Strong end of the season looks to have paid off.

Away to Uni next week, Balgownie, as I'm away, Shuggie'll be in charge, I would appreciate everyone giving him the respect I get (more would be nice!). Bear in mind, it won't be easy for him. It would be great if yesterday was my last game of the season, that means we're winning, and not changing the team. Great stuff today boys, to a man, everyone stood up and did their jobs. I realise one or two were disappointed, but it's about the team, the club, take it like you should, and come back stronger, make it difficult for me to leave you out. Every man that came in today, did that, it's how it should be. Have to mention Keith who's not played for a while, Cheyner as well (for a pensioner, he's mental, and he told me how to fix my boiler tonight, after 8 pints!), Andy Murray who's playing a strange position as well, though we all played a huge part, it's great to see the team spirit up again. Last word on that, must go to the skipper, he's struggling with injury, but I must say, leading by example, and turning into the captain we all knew he could, well done Mark. Only 4 games to go, every one vital, I really hope everyone's up for it. One or two changes next week, with Tom going on holiday, and other stuff going on. Well done again, see you all Thursday, 6.30, at the academy.

Well done lads. Last clean sheet was 0-0 draw away to Hayloft on 20th December with Stevie Mac in goal. Panda was indeed in goals last time the Youth won!
Reply 79 John_Muirhead on Sat, Mar 28, 2009 20:21:11 PM
Just wanted to say a huge well done to everyone today. Don't want to single anyone out, but Panda had a great game in goals. Can't remember the last clean sheet, but I can remember the last time he was in goals, we won! Bear in mind, at least 3 starters today are missing next week, so for all the lads that are disappointed/p***ed off (rightly so), keep the heads up, we need you all next week.

Just back to yesterday lads, great to get a win. It's been a long time coming. Just a few 'special' notes (in my opinion for what it's worth). Firstly to both our keepers, Panda (Quasimodo) Lorimer, and his replacement Mad Max. Between the two of you, you have a better goals against ratio than both Nicky and Stevie, got to say though, Max is the only unbeaten keeper we've had this season! I thought Jase did well in at centre half, as did Granty at sweeper, dodgy first 4 minutes, but then it got better. In midfield Mole got MoM, and the skip scored a wonder goal, he was fairly getting some stick from me and Shuggie before he hit it, and it sailed in! Upfront, good to see big Nic back playing, but for me, the wee man Tom, was my man of the match, I thought he looked liked the fresh young kid of a few years back, he put himself about a bit, scored, and won the penalty. Well done to everyone, let's keep it going for next week against Glendale.

On a positive note, a clean sheet, should give everyone a bit of confidence, and a good debut from Jason, well done. Couple of weeks off now, don't eat or drink too much, you might end up the same size as me! Just a quick note about yesterday, I was pleased with the attitude shown by everyone. It was more upbeat, with less bickering amongst us. Just a pity we didn't sneak a win, but a clean sheet's always nice for us fat old defenders! Special mention to Keith who started his first game for us on his return, did really well at the back, as did Gav., who's not played since August. Also to Tricky who played strangely in a strange position! Let's keep it up for next week. See you all on Thursday night.

Without going into any details about yesterdays game we have already proved in other games this season that we can be a match for anyone in the league IF we apply ourselves. The problem we have just now is that collectively we are not applying ourselves as a team. Motivation seems to be low. It is unacceptable for us as a squad to sit back and allow John to do 95% of the running around on match days and training nights. Planning and preparation for a game is not good and we should be better organised....for my part I am willing to help out and would ask for everybody else to assist as well. We have a great squad of players at Kemnay with a great potential to succeed....we have it within ourselves to be at the top of the league instead of languishing mid table. We are all in it together and all have a part to play in making this season a success just like last season. Some of us have been "roond the hooses" many a time and can speak from experience...so let us all work together to improve the situation. Sermon over with..... the appliaction starts on Tuesday night.....so lets get a good turnout.
