John, wee Rat actually knocked me off the top ten last season. I only make the odd appearance back on the list when two players are tied with appearanes like Dunc and Davie Hay are at the moment. After next week I will probably be off the list again! Although I have heard talks that you can actually sign for different teams in different amateur associations!! The next most likely people to make the 100 mark are a wee bit away, Mollins has 74 and Tom has 73.

Muirhead made his 10th cup appearance of the season (all the cup games) and his 310th for Kemnay. Some additional stats from 7-6 win tonight: The 5th goal scored by Dom was Kemnay's 60th league goal of the season and the 7th goal also scored by Dom was the 80th of the season in all competitions! The 1st goal conceded was the 50th league goal conceded and the 5th goal conceded was the 70th goal in all competitions conceded! Well done to Harkness for joining the elite on the all-time top ten scorers list, sneeking in at 10th equal although I would bet on him to creep further up the table before the seasons out! Harkness and Pro also notched their 10th assists of the season each. Dom was awarded his first MOM in his 10th league game this season. Ian Mac made his 20th league appearance. The wee Ginger Kev scored his first OG in the Black and White. Congratulations to Tom for his 70th appearance for Kemnay, a feat which he could share with Mr Mollins in one more game as he now stands on 69 (appropriate I hear his missus cry!). Last but not least, Ross scored his 10th ever goal for Kemnay, taking 45 games to achieve this feat, and only 3 short of the all time record books!! Dont you just love stats?!?!?

Additional Stats: Cheyner's cup-final goal was his 40th for Kemnay, this was accompanied by his 10th ever booking in the black and white! Mikey Mollins played in his 30th game of the season. Tom's substitute appearance means he is now 1 game away from 70 in total. Dom is one away from number 10 in a Kemnay shirt. Harkness is also now only 1 goal away from joining the elite top ten scorers of all time (13 is the magic number at present!). His goal against Portlethen was the clubs 70th goal of the season in all competitions! The team have scored 73 goals in total, 55 league and 18 cup with a total of 65 being conceded, 49 league, 16 cup. (All by Stevie McP!). Another note of interest, Kemnay have scored in every game since the 3-0 away Scottish Cup defeat to Kintore back on the 8th October 2005, some 23 games and 7 months ago! Taking only league games this stretches back to the 24th August in a 3-0 defeat to Rothie, 20 games and just over 7 months ago!

Actually in the league Mikey the top scorers this season so far are: Harkness 7, Ingram 6 and Pro 5. Last seasons top three scorers were Tom 8, Mikey Reid 7, Cheyner & Stevie Mearns 6. Nothing wrong with spreading the goals about though, it is a team game!

Boydy is 1 game away from double figures, 10. Euan Warner made his debut coming off the bench for Murray Nicol (and should have had a hat-trick according to Sambo!). Amazingly enough Dom never scored so there goes his 100% scoring record! Ingram's goal takes him to 7 for the season and 1 behind Harkness in the chase for the golden boot!

Did you go off at half-time in that game or just after? We got beat by a cheating ref that game, I was poll-axed in our own box and the ref played on and they scored the winner in a 4-3 thriller! It was gutting when they did the same thing a few days later with a last minute goal to beat us 5-4!

Boydie, I only update my stats with the email Muirhead sends me after the game. However, I am open to public opinion (as was shown in a recent MOM award debate!) and will post a poll on the subject. It will remain open for a week and I will then close the poll and use the result on whether you get an assist or not! By the way, I think using the long-throw is a great asset to have in a team you just need to know how to play it, I scored many a goal of a Richard Binnie launch in boys club football (one memorable back-heeler against a Dutch team a-la Denis Law!). However, I am also a believer in that if you play the long-throw during a game, then set up for it as usual but change to a short one, the other team wont have a scoobie doo about whats happening!

Updated stats now on for the win over Bankhead. Congratulations to Stevie McP (and his defence) for the 3rd clean sheet in a row. This has not been achieved since Mike "Lugs" Livingstone (now at Rothie) back in Nov/Dec 2000. Remember a crate of beer is now due to the squad for this achievement! (Also want to mention that the "Goalie" Gary Forbes also had 3-in-a-row in August 2000). The burning question is can a record 4-in-a-row be achieved on Saturday against Stonehave?!? Anyway, other stats: Dominic is currently scoring a goal a game with his second in two appearances. Mike Mollins is now only 1 game away from number 60. Well done to Panda for his 10th appearance at Kemnay, although he will surely be disappointed with the missed penalty and the sound of the ref's whistle!!

Stats available for the win over Rothie. It was the Youth's 6th league game unbeaten, dating back to October 22nd! Harkness scored his 8th of the season, being awarded with his 2nd MOM. Murray made his first ever assist in Kemnay colours. Muirhead made his 4th assist of the season and is incredibly only 3 games away from number 300 since records began! Ingram notched his 7th assist of the season whilst Huw scored his first of the campaign. Congratulations to Stevie McP for his 2nd clean-sheet in a row and his 3rd in between the Kemnay sticks (this must also go out to the "rock-solid" defence).

I hear you Boydie - Muirhead even said himself it wasnt really an assist. But my feeling is they all count do they not? Would you count a hoofed clearance by the goalkeeper that someone ran onto and scored an assist? I would. Would you call a cross that was fluffed and ended up in the back of the net a goal? I would. By the way, I actually remember that game, Chloe was about 16 months old, out of hospital that day after an operation to get her hip fixed (beware Cheyner!) Rachel wasn't best pleased I picked them up early , then went away to play football, leaving her with a baby howling with both legs in plaster! In addition, looking through my stats, the last time Kemnay notched 7 goals was in a 9-1 victory over Theologians back in season 98-99 in a cup fixture! Brian Cheyne, John Muirhead and Murray Nicol all played in that match, with Mr Nicol getting a red card!! Scorers were Mike Scott, Geoff Smith, Martin McGillivary (3) and Asher Mathers (4).

Here are a few more running stats: John Muirhead's next game will be his 290th, Brian Cheyne's will be 260th with his next goal giving him 40 and next booking being his 10th. Gordon Harkness and Gareth Prosser are to break into double figures on 10 with their next run out. Wee Kev Robertson is 2 games away from the ton and one goal away from 30. Mark Ingram needs another goal to make it 10 in total. Well, after about 5-6 weeks of waiting, Mike Mollins finally made his 50th appearance for the Youth, getting MOM as well. Personally I think he knew it was his 50th and used this on the Maryculter team to make them feel sorry for him!! Also a mention for Dunc Peter scoring on his 105th appearance (thats a goal every 5 games now Dunc, can you keep it up?), and can I add that Dunc looks set to overtake my own appearances of 105 as well.

It must also be noted that Mark Ingram was playing his 40th game. All in all a great result for the Youth, must be one of the all time greatest amateur football upsets in recent times. Well Tom, if you can provide me with a list of the players who assist goals every game it would be very much appreciated. Muirhead sends me the team lines with bookings, scorers and subs etc, I have asked him for assists. Also, I take the assists from Dunc's match reports, (when he can remember who assisted the goals!). So far this season I only have the first game match report, where there were 2 assists and 1 penalty (which I dont think assists would count for). Therefore, stats are at present 100% correct and I suggest you get YOUR facts straight before making any such accusations!!!

Roy, This is slightly nit picky I know, but we've scored 7 goals but there are only 2 assists?? I know goals can be scored without someone assisting them but 5 of them?? Again, I know this has nothing to do with you as you are going by someone elses report of the game, but stats are only good if they are accurate.

Tom is the winner of the golden boot award this season with 11 goals in total. Mikey Reid was 2nd with 9. I will be trying to attach my fancy "spreadsheet" which I keep to record all the stats before putting them on the website. Getting MOM on Monday gave Ash 10 in total fo the season. Tom Waterston is top scorer with 7 this season, followed by Cheyner, Mikey and Ross all on 5. Dunc leads the bookings table by a mile on 5. Mike Reid has 5 assists to his name (although I rarely get the info on assists!!). Ash has 8 MOM awards even though he has conceded 61 goals in 29 games!!

Murray Nicol reached the 110 mark in his last outing. Hopefully further stats to come on scorers and bookings/red cards although these stats wont go quite as far back I dont think!! Just call me Stato! It didnt take too long using the great invention that is spreadsheets!! Cheyner would maybe be closer to you if you include further back the years, not sure when he broke his leg, think it must have been before my time!

Nice work Roy, Don't know how you have the patience, I thought Cheyner would've been a bit closer to me, was the season he broke his leg one of the season's involved? I can't remember, were you with us then? It was maybe before your time.
